Hi, folks.
Sorry to go a little off-topic, but I know more people here than on the more relevant lists. I'm looking for a typeface with long serifs, a high relative x-height, and thick ascenders (relative to other strokes), like below. Any ideas? ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ fontforge-users mailing list [hidden email] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fontforge-users http://fontforge.10959.n7.nabble.com/User-f8781.html |
I used an app called “Find my Font” to find something like the “y” in your sample. Its best suggestions seem to be University and Gill Facia.

Wow. University is really fanciful! It wasn't what I had in mind, but I may use it anyway. On Wed, Aug 31, 2016 at 3:25 PM, Martin B. Brilliant <[hidden email]> wrote:

not to be snobbish but given a choice among fonts where one is by Gill and the others not, I always go with Gill! Of course your mileage may vary :) On Wed, Aug 31, 2016 at 2:44 PM, Frank Trampe <[hidden email]> wrote:

I always like to get the finest things, but, in this particular case, the Gill option is a bit too tame. On Wed, Aug 31, 2016 at 4:12 PM, Hugh S. Myers <[hidden email]> wrote:

Light weights of Bodoni seem to fit the description, but the x-height might be too low for your liking. URW++ has some examples. On Wed, Aug 31, 2016 at 2:29 PM, Frank Trampe <[hidden email]> wrote:

I didn't think of that. If I add a few alternates and adjust the serifs, it's very close to what I want. I'll look for source files. On Wed, Aug 31, 2016 at 5:15 PM, Jason Pagura <[hidden email]> wrote:
